Refunds
Last updated 22 October 2026
Preset files are digital goods. Once downloaded, they cannot be returned, which is why the policy below distinguishes between a change of mind and a product that does not work.
Where we do not refund
A change of mind after download. Once the files are on your device, you have the product. This is standard for digital goods and it is stated here before you buy.
“It does not look like the sample on my photos.” This is how presets work, not a defect. A preset is a transfer curve applied to the colours your photograph already contains, so a different frame produces a different result. We explain this at length in why a preset looks different on your photo, and the test bench exists specifically so you can check a grade against your own photographs before paying.
Buying the wrong pack. Have a look at the sample images and the plotted curve on each pack page first. If you are unsure, ask us before buying.
Where we do refund, in full
- The files are corrupt or will not open.
- A file is missing from the download and we cannot supply it.
- You were charged twice, or charged for something you did not order.
- The pack does not contain what the page said it contained.
In those cases we will usually try to fix it first, resend, repair, supply the missing file. If we cannot, you get your money back.
Install problems are not refund cases, at first
If a preset will not install, that is nearly always solvable and we would rather solve it. Most failures are an .xmp being imported into the free mobile app, which cannot read that format; the .dng files in the same download are the answer.
Write to us with your Lightroom version and your device, and we will get it working. If we genuinely cannot, we refund.
How to ask
Email us with your order number and what went wrong. We aim to reply within two working days.
