What this pack does
Haze is not a white balance problem, it is a contrast problem. Air between you and the subject scatters light into the shadows, so everything arrives washed and slightly blue regardless of how you set the camera.
Chai Street answers it with the most aggressive numbers in this catalogue: contrast up almost a third, saturation up a third, blue pulled hard out of the midtones and highlights.
It is built for a specific failure, not for general use. On a clear, already-contrasty frame it will be too much, and the Soft variant at the end of the pack exists for exactly that case.
