What this pack does
Cloud and snow are both mostly highlight, which means a landscape preset that works on a forest will flatten them completely. There is no midtone left to add contrast to.
Cold Peak puts the contrast where the detail actually is. Red is pulled down through the midtones and capped below pure white, blue is lifted and allowed to reach full, and the overall contrast goes up a third to recover shape in cloud.
The blue lift stops short of the cyan that most cool presets land in. Snow should read as white in cold light, not as pale blue, and the red cap is what keeps that true.
