What this pack does
Digital files are sharper and cleaner than any film stock ever was, and sometimes that is the problem. A frame with perfect blacks and full saturation can read as clinical when the moment was not.
Fade Film lifts every channel off zero by a different amount, blue furthest, which is what gives faded prints their slightly cool, slightly green shadow. Highlights are pulled back below pure white. Saturation drops a fifth.
Use it where the subject carries the frame and the colour does not need to. It is deliberately the quietest pack in the catalogue, and the one that survives being applied to an entire set.
